Columbia Music Entertainment uses KaleiDA-Vu as an archival storage system and plan to expand its sound source download platform through the future addition of progress management functionality.
KaleiDA-Vu is a digital property management tool that will be increasingly in demand providing digital sound source master management functions across platforms and enabling the seamless conversion of digital sound sources into various delivery formats.
KaleiDA-Vu software features:
1 Web-based GUI and multiple search menu functions
An easily customizable web-based GUI provides users convenient interface. With sound sources and meta-information captured in a common database, multiple search menu functions allow users to quickly configure search set parameters. Preview functions include sound source sampling, jacket picture thumbnails of sound sources and more.
2 Trans-code function and security function
The system changes master sound sources into the various formats needed for CDs and DVDs, music downloads and cell phone downloads. Our highly-experienced studio engineers verify sound quality. Sound source data is preserved safely and semi-permanently on professional-grade UDO blue laser optical discs.
Large volume optical disc UDO technology
30 GB blue laser optical discs are designed to professional quality standards. The ISO established this technology as an international standard and Hewlett-Packard Development, L.P. developed UDO (Ultra Density Optical) drives and libraries adopted by OEM's worldwide.
Memory-Tech Corporation uses the UDO changer robot as a core system element and to deliver Starchive, its advanced long-term archiving system, to the market in April 2004. Soft Bank BB and many other organizations have already adopted this technology.
